The straight-necked vessel from Hazel sits on a small annular base and measures 8 inches tall. The open spiral or swastika whorl appears to be associated primarily with late period sites along the St. Francis River and is frequently executed in Nodena Red and White, such as this example. The motif is repeated three times and while painted decoration is evident on the neck, the design has been obscured by wear or erosion.
