From Upper Nodena, the reconstructed Bell Plain bowl has a nicely modeled human head that rattles. The "tail" has a single low node near the center. The actual bowl is asymmetrical (9 inches wide and 7 inches long), which is characteristic of bird effigy vessels in the Central Mississippi Valley.
