This is a Bell Plain kneeling female hunchback effigy from Upper Nodena. The hunchback condition is plainly visible. Similar vessels occur regularly, though not commonly, at Late Mississippian sites throughout the Central Mississippi Valley (cf. Phillips et al. 1951:162-165).
